Shared note

Appears to have died unmarried and left his estate to his nephews and nieces of his deceased brother Ignatius White, Marquis D'Albeville. Also a bequest to apprentice his nephew Edmond Bourke to a profession. Richard had been in England since 1688, (Cal. of Treasury books, 1685-9 p.2107) died there in 1698 or 1699, his executors being Sir Charles Scarborough and his cousin Daniel Arthur. He was arrested on suspicion of high treason in May 1692 and again in March 1696 (N. Luttrell, Brief Relation, ii 453, 454,459; iv. 25).

Note

According to the book "Nobilites of Europe" pub. 1910, "Sir Richard White ......died s.p. in London between 8 Sept. 1698 and 3 June 1699 when his titles devolved on his nephew and heir male, the 2nd Marquess of Albeville (F) on whose death s.p. 1710 the direct male line of the family became extinct."
